Casuarina equisetifolia incana
Commonly known as she-oak or Eastern she-oak, is native to the coastlines from South Queensland to the central coast of NSW. This tree reaches up to 12 meters as it matures and is characterized by its weeping branches and greyish-green foliage that sways gracefully in the wind. She-oak is well-suited for coastal stabilization and creates a striking visual effect when planted in groves. It thrives best in full sun and prefers sandy or light soils, as long as there is no risk of waterlogging. Additionally, this hardy tree is highly tolerant of wind and salt spray, making it ideal for coastal environments.
