Genista ‘Yellow Imp’ Standard
This fast-growing, compact shrub adds a vibrant splash of golden color with its pea-like flowers from late spring through summer, perfect for complementing surrounding plants or serving as a garden focal point. Quick to establish, it works well as a screen and attracts bees, beneficial insects, and birds. Grown in a standard form on a 70 cm tall stem, it develops into a rounded bush about 1–1.5 meters wide.
For best results, plant in a full sun position with well-drained soil, though it will tolerate part shade. Drought-hardy and wind-resistant, it benefits from trimming after flowering to encourage autumn blooms and regular feeding with a general garden fertiliser.
