Gleditsia triacanthos - Ruby Lace
Gleditsia Ruby Lace is a striking medium-sized deciduous tree with a rounded, open growth habit. Its glossy bipinnate foliage emerges as vibrant ruby-red before maturing to a rich purplish-bronze, then transforming to golden yellow in autumn. This hardy and adaptable tree thrives in full sun and performs best in moist, deep, fertile soils but can also tolerate urban conditions, air pollution, moderately saline soils, occasional wetness, and low levels of drought. Relatively pest and disease resistant, Gleditsia Ruby Lace is an excellent choice for adding seasonal color and contrast to landscapes while providing dappled shade in parks, gardens, and streetscapes. It reaches a mature height of approximately 8 meters with a spread of 6 meters.
