Gleditsia triacanthos - Shademaster

Native to central and eastern USA, it has fern like pinnately or bipinnate arranged foliage. Grows best in full sun, with moist soils. May need protection from frosts in early stages. Leaves are deep green throughout spring and summer. Flowers are insignificant, followed by small seed pods.
